David J. Weglarz II will serve as the Lead Technician for The Car Conservatory, bringing over two decades of deep, hands-on diagnostics and repair experience. As a Michigan Master Mechanic and a certified Ford Electrical Specialist, David provides the technical leadership and expert-level skills necessary to ensure the highest quality of service and repair.
David’s career is built on a foundation of comprehensive, bumper-to-bumper vehicle knowledge. His 13-year tenure at Firestone Tire & Service saw him rise from a General Service Technician to a senior Automotive Technician responsible for a complete range of diagnostics and repairs, including:
Engine, brake, suspension, and alignment services.
Heating, A/C, and cooling system repairs.
Complex engine performance diagnostics.
His certification as a Ford Electrical Specialist and deep familiarity with CANBUS system diagnostics and Snap-On scan tools establish him as an elite problem-solver for the electrical issues that are increasingly common in today's vehicles.
David's expertise extends directly into the most advanced automotive technology on the road today. He is an i-Car certified ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) Technician, and his most recent role as an ADAS Senior Service Technician involves the calibration and programming for all makes and all models.
This specialization is a critical asset, positioning The Car Conservatory to service the complex safety and sensor systems that many independent shops are not equipped to handle. His previous roles at Jaguar Land Rover and Ray Laethem Buick GMC further solidified this expertise, giving him a primary focus on infotainment, HVAC, and vehicle communications diagnostics.
Beyond his technical prowess, David brings invaluable experience from dealer service departments. He has served as a Warranty Administrator at both Jaguar Land Rover and Ray Laethem, giving him a complete understanding of dealer-level warranty processes and claims execution.
In his current role, he is also responsible for key operational duties, including scheduling vehicle delivery, performing inspections, creating estimates, and managing invoicing. This administrative and customer-facing experience ensures he can not only lead the service bay but also contribute to a smooth and professional front-office operation.
