Engine and Transmission Component Replacements

While we do not perform full engine or transmission assembly swaps, we specialize in the precision replacement of the critical components that keep these systems running smoothly. This includes the high wear items that often cause leaks, noises, or performance drops if left unaddressed. We handle external engine components such as alternators, starters, water pumps, and belt tensioners, as well as transmission specific parts like shift solenoids, external sensors, and pan gaskets. By focusing on these individual components, we can often resolve complex issues and extend the service life of your vehicle’s major assemblies without the extreme cost of a total unit replacement.

Comprehensive Tune-Ups

A modern tune-up is a holistic approach to restoring the efficiency and power your vehicle had when it was new. This service goes beyond just changing spark plugs; we inspect and service the entire ignition and fuel delivery system. We replace air filters, clean throttle bodies, and verify the health of ignition coils and wires to ensure complete combustion and smooth idling. A properly tuned engine not only provides better throttle response and smoother acceleration but also prevents the unburned fuel that can damage expensive catalytic converters. This proactive service is essential for maintaining fuel economy and ensuring your vehicle passes emissions testing.

Advanced Powertrain Diagnostics

When your vehicle isn't performing correctly, a Check Engine light is often the only clue provided. Our diagnostic process utilizes dealer level software and great tools to look deep into the engine and transmission management systems. We perform pin out testing and use oscilloscopes to verify the timing and signals of crank sensors, cam sensors, and transmission pressure switches. This allows us to separate a simple sensor failure from a more complex mechanical timing issue. Our goal is to provide a definitive diagnosis that targets the root cause, ensuring that repairs are effective and that you aren't paying for unnecessary parts.

Seals, Belts, and Mounts

  • Gasket and Seal Replacement: We address the common oil and coolant leaks that occur at the valve covers, oil pans, and timing covers. Keeping the engine dry prevents oil from degrading rubber bushings or damaging electrical connectors.

  • Drive Belt and Pulley Service: The serpentine belt powers your alternator, water pump, and A/C compressor. We replace worn belts and noisy idler pulleys to prevent a snapped belt from leaving you stranded.

  • Engine and Transmission Mounts: These rubber-and-metal isolators keep engine vibrations from reaching the cabin. Over time, they can collapse or leak fluid, leading to a rough idle or a clunk when shifting. Replacing worn mounts restores the smooth, refined feel of a luxury vehicle.
