Paint Correction

Stage 1 and Stage 2 Paint Correction

Paint correction is the mechanical process of leveling the clear coat to remove surface imperfections that dull the finish and obscure the true color of the vehicle. Over time, improper washing, road debris, and environmental exposure create a network of swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation that scatter light rather than reflecting it. We utilize precision rotary and dual-action polishers combined with specialized abrasive compounds to systematically refine the paint surface. This is not a simple buff and wax but a surgical procedure that requires constant monitoring of paint thickness to ensure the integrity of the clear coat remains intact. By restoring the surface to a mirror-like flatness, we achieve a level of depth and clarity that often surpasses the vehicle's original factory finish.

Stage 1 Paint Correction (Single-Stage Polish)

A Stage 1 correction is designed for vehicles with minor surface defects, such as light swirl marks and faint hazing. This process involves a single-pass polishing step using a medium grade finishing polish and a specific foam pad. The goal is to remove approximately 50-70% of superficial imperfections while significantly enhancing the gloss and pop of the paint. This is an ideal service for newer vehicles that have been well-maintained but have lost their showroom luster, or for owners looking for a high value aesthetic refresh without the time and expense of a multi-stage overhaul.

Stage 2 Paint Correction (Multi-Stage Restoration)

For vehicles with deeper scratches, heavy swirl marks, or significant oxidation, a Stage 2 correction is required. This is a comprehensive two-step process: the first step uses a heavy cutting compound to level the paint and remove the majority of deeper defects, which typically leaves behind a slight haze. The second step utilizes a fine finishing polish to remove that haze and refine the surface to a crystal clear, high definition shine. This stage can often remove 85-95% of all correctable surface defects. This service is a transformative restoration for older or neglected finishes, providing a flawless foundation for long term protective coatings.
